ALHO Systembau GmbH
Strategic Realignment in Customer Engagement
Construction reimagined! The family-run company ALHO Systembau GmbH has been realizing this vision for 57 years with modular buildings. With the strategic realignment of the customer magazine ALHO:LIFE, the focus of the content is no longer solely on modular buildings, but rather on the people who learn, work, or spend their retirement in these buildings.
What We Did

Head of Marketing Department
ALHO Systembau GmbH
Thanks to the redesign by C&G, we have been able to take our customer magazine to a higher level. We now offer our customers an attractively designed and high-quality magazine once a year, featuring an interesting mix of trend topics related to construction and our top references. This has allowed us to create the perfect platform to optimally convey our image and value transfer into the market.
The Client
ALHO Systembau GmbH
ALHO Systembau GmbH specializes in the planning, construction, and manufacture of modern, sustainable, and modularly prefabricated buildings. Since its founding in 1967, it has established itself as one of Europe’s leading providers in the field of modular construction with 10 locations to date. ALHO offers both functional and comfortable solutions, individually tailored to the respective areas of application: modular buildings for workplaces and educational facilities, the healthcare and research sectors, as well as residential living. A particular advantage of modular construction is the ability to erect buildings in a short time. At the same time, ecological and economic aspects can be taken into account. To meet the requirements of modern construction, ALHO relies on sustainable materials and technologies.
The Challenge
Strategic concept for the realignment of the customer magazine
In the previous ALHO customer magazine “immotions,” the focus was on presenting products: modular buildings as reference objects. In addition to technical requirements, developers today often have broader demands for buildings. In particular, aspects such as sustainability and digitalization play an important role. Addressing these requirements in terms of themes and content was the goal of the strategic realignment for the new customer magazine “ALHO:LIFE.” The new concept aims to illuminate these topics from all angles—beyond the actual product—and incorporate trend and social issues: digitalization, social change, and the demands people place on modern buildings, which are met by the high flexibility and design freedom of modular construction.
The Concept
Shifting the content focus toward overarching themes
The focus of the first issue of the customer magazine ALHO:LIFE was on the topic of working environments and the adaptation of the construction industry to the trends of today’s office real estate market. Here, the flexibility that modular construction brings through versatile and adaptable room design plays a decisive role. This implements the core idea of “New Work”: the traditional office is replaced by a flexible office concept that enables hybrid working, flexible teams, and mobile workstations. At the same time, the lifestyle aspect is communicated: the well-being factor in the work environment—bright, friendly rooms, pleasant acoustics, and higher comfort—is playing an increasingly important role.
The second issue of ALHO:LIFE focuses on the company itself, its employees, its values, and its expertise. The theme of the issue is “Being Better.” ALHO explores the questions: “In what ways are we better than others? Where can we become even better?” This issue addresses developments in the construction industry, among other things, proving its competence and future-oriented approach regarding topics such as sustainability, the circular economy, and flexible, fast solutions for the growing demands in the office and educational real estate sectors.
The Result
Magazine relaunch with a clear focus on customers and trends
Sharpening the target customer approach and integrating social topics—we achieved this goal in close cooperation with ALHO. In a completely new basic layout, the customer magazine now presents itself with a balanced mix of construction trends, a focus on people, and reference buildings that meet the changing demands of the market. Through a modern layout and targeted themes, ALHO relies on transparency and customer proximity to clearly differentiate itself in the market and gain new trust. With each issue, ALHO strengthens the brand and reaches potential customers in a targeted and authentic manner.
